Unit Conversion Flow Reference​
This screen explains how a raw material UOM is converted into a finished goods UOM during the manufacturing flow.
What You Can Learn From This Screen​
- Which raw material is consumed for each finished part
- What conversion factor is used between RM and FG
- At which process the unit conversion happens
- Which process is in-house and which process is outsourced
- How the quantity moves into the stock ledger after approval
How To Read The Flow​
- Start with the configuration section to understand the RM part, FG part, and conversion factor.
- Follow the process flow from Purchase Order, Inward, Inspection, Batch, and process operations.
- Check the Control Plan Process node to understand the full sequence of operations.
- Identify the step where UOM Conversion happens.
- Review the Stock Ledger Summary at the bottom to see how stock is reflected stage by stage.
Important Note​
- Before the conversion process is approved, stock is shown in the raw material UOM.
- After the conversion process is approved, stock is shown in the finished goods UOM.
- The conversion process may happen at OP30, OP40, or OP50, depending on the control plan.
- Some scenarios include outsource processing, and some are fully in-house.
